A Journeyman Electrician is responsible for performing electrical work in accordance with established codes, safety standards, and project specifications. This role involves installing wiring, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely.

Job Duties:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems
• Run wiring, conduit, outlets, switches, lighting, and electrical panels
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and complete repairs
• Inspect electrical components including transformers, breakers, and panels
• Test electrical systems using meters and diagnostic tools
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks
• Work with contractors, engineers, and construction teams as needed
• Follow NEC, local codes, company procedures, and safety standards

Requirements:

• Must have a valid Journeyman Electrician License
• Previous electrical experience required (Completion of an apprenticeship program (usually 4–5 years))
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, in tight spaces, or in different jobsite conditions
• Must be dependable, safety-minded, and able to work as part of a team
