Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring an active MI license and 2 years of ER experience.

Details

• Work in a 24/7 Emergency Department providing care ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening trauma
• Facility offers 24-hour specialty support in Heart & Vascular Services, Neurosciences, Radiology, Anesthesiology, and Surgery
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts with 3p or 7p start times
• Weekend rotation required, varying by shift start time (every other or every third weekend)
• Every other holiday coverage required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required at time of submission
• Compact license not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Current certifications required: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS (AHA)
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
• LARA and Nursys license verification required

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of acuities, from minor injuries to major trauma
• Facility enforces a strict attendance policy allowing no more than 3 absences or late arrivals (20+ minutes) before termination, with exceptions considered for documented illness or hospitalization
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted during the assignment
• Local candidates within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers and subject to a reduced travel rate
• Full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
