Overview: /n Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Relocation Assistance: Available for candidates relocating from outside the state of Illinois. /n Salary Range: $1,332 – $1,792.80 per week (base gross), based on a 36-hour (3x12-hour) schedule; equivalent to $37.00 – $49.80 per hour. /n Department: Cardiopulmonary / Respiratory Therapy Job Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt Location: Chicago Metro Area, Illinois – big-city lifestyle, strong healthcare market, no car required, lakefront living. /n ✔ Interview within 24 - 48 hours | Fast Offer Process ✔ Work in a high-acuity, critical care environment and advanced respiratory cases /n ✔ Competitive pay + shift differentials /n ✔ Career growth within a large healthcare system /n /n The Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II) / Respiratory Therapist (RRT) delivers respiratory therapy treatments and pulmonary diagnostic services in an acute care setting, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of care across all patient populations. Responsibilities: /n - Administer respiratory therapy treatments (oxygen, aerosol, airway management) /n - Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems /n - Perform pulmonary diagnostics (ABGs, PFTs) /n - Implement patient-specific respiratory care plans /n - Document care in the EMR /n - Respond to code blue and rapid response events /n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes /n - May serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts /n Qualifications: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING /n /n 1. State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required /n 2. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. /n 3. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required /n 4. 2 years experience as an RCP preferred. /n 5. ACLS certificate within 60 day of hire and maintain current. /n 6. NRP certificate preferred /n 7. PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current. /n 8. Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred /n 9. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $37.00 to $49.80 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
