Maintenance Manager

Compensation: Up to $130,000 Base Salary (DOE) + Benefits

Position Overview

A leading precision manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead all facility and equipment maintenance operations within a high-volume production environment.

This position is responsible for developing and executing preventive maintenance strategies, leading maintenance personnel, managing capital and repair projects, ensuring equipment reliability, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that maximize uptime, productivity, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience, a hands-on maintenance background, and the ability to build a proactive maintenance culture focused on safety, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Lead and mentor maintenance technicians and support personnel to achieve departmental goals and performance metrics.
• Plan, prioritize, and oversee all maintenance, repair, and installation activities across manufacturing operations.
• Conduct facility and equipment inspections to identify maintenance needs and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure the reliability and functionality of production equipment, building systems, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and supporting infrastructure.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
• Manage relationships with external contractors, vendors, and service providers.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and oversee procurement of maintenance-related supplies and equipment.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, maintenance expenditures, and cost-control initiatives.
• Drive root-cause analysis and corrective action efforts for equipment failures and recurring maintenance issues.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and environmental requirements.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and leadership teams to support operational objectives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Industrial Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
• 10+ years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience managing maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and equipment reliability programs.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets, contractors, and capital improvement projects.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• Manufacturing industry experience in precision machining, metal fabrication, aerospace, automotive, or industrial production environments.
• CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience.
• Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
• Engineering degree or advanced technical training.
• Experience supporting highly automated manufacturing operations.
