MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position. This is a 3x12-hour shift role, working from 7 PM to 7 AM, with patient care responsibilities across various units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6-7, ensuring high-quality care and safety for all patients.
• Floating between like units or sister facilities may be required based on facility needs.
• Participate in weekend rotations, with a requirement to work every other weekend.
• Utilize Epic for charting patient information and document care effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required.
• First-time travelers: Accepted and encouraged to apply.
• Licensure: A valid South Carolina RN license or a Compact license is needed prior to starting.
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Skills: Proficient in accessing/managing ports, biPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, wound care, and telemetry monitoring.

• Compliance Requirements: All background checks and compliance documents must be completed prior to the start date.
• Hurricane Season: Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November.
