Laboratory Assistant, Anatomic Pathology

Laboratory Assistant role supporting anatomic pathology operations at a contract research organization. Responsibilities include managing laboratory inventory, preparing materials, coordinating sample processing, maintaining compliance with GLP and quality standards, and assisting pathology teams in a fast-paced research environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels, order supplies, receive materials, and maintain laboratory inventory systems
• Manage wet tissue storage, prepare cassettes and labels, coordinate sample tracking and shipment
• Maintain laboratory workspaces, necropsy suites, and storage areas in clean, organized, inspection-ready condition
• Prepare materials and equipment for study procedures, verify balances and equipment functionality
• Support tissue handling, sample collection, and necropsy-related activities with ongoing training

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years inventory control, laboratory support, or research operations experience
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
• Proficiency with inventory systems, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office
• Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities
• Valid U.S. work authorization without employer sponsorship requirement
• Experience with laboratory inventory management or sample tracking systems preferred
