Today, through our state-of-the-art Level One Trauma Center, cutting-edge specialty care units, and dedicated caregivers, the system is working at the forefront of medicine to address the overall needs of our patients and eliminate healthcare disparities. \n \n All Critical Care units offer enhanced technology to assist with nursing care, including patient lifts, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and continuous telemetry monitoring. \n \n Join our Burn Intensive Care Unit, 3 West! \n \n \nPrimary Patient Population: \n \n \n \n Adult and Pediatric \n Severe Burns \n Frostbite \n Necrotizing Tissue Disease \n \n \n \nPrimary skills utilized/learned: \n \n \n \n Care for hemodynamic instabilities \n Sterile dressing changes/Infection Prevention \n Complex Wound Care \n Managing surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, & CRRT \n \n \n \nPersonnel RN will work with: \n \n \n \n Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Trauma/Burn Surgeons, Respiratory Therapy, Child Life Specialists \n \n \n \nNumber of beds on unit: \n \n \n \n 8 inpatient beds \n Outpatient Clinic \n \n \n \nAwards or Recognitions the unit has received: \n \n \n \n Verified Adult and Pediatric Burn Center ( 1 of 2 in Ohio) \n \n \n MetroHealth offers industry-leading benefits, including tuition reimbursement, professional certification incentives, and medical/dental insurance. As a public employer, employees participate in the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS). \n \n \nRequired Qualifications: \n \n \n \n Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation). \n Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio \n Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. \n Current ACLS and PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire \n PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience \n PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire \n \n \n \nPreferred Qualifications :\n \n \n \n BSN \n Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association \n
