Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Neurology

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a General Neurology, Medical Stroke, and Epilepsy Monitoring unit
• Manage patients with neurological diagnoses including stroke, seizures, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and neuromuscular diseases
• Support continuous epilepsy monitoring for patients in designated hard-wired monitoring rooms
• Care for overflow neurosurgical and spine surgery patients as needed, floating within scope to meet unit demands
• Participate in weekend shift rotation (4–5 weekend shifts per 4-week period) and holiday rotation
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 and adhere to all unit and facility protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start)
• Minimum 1 year of registered nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to float within scope to sister units as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience in neurology, medical stroke, or epilepsy monitoring nursing
