Safety Specialist

Our client, a leader in environmental health and safety management, is seeking a Safety Specialist to join their team. As a Safety Specialist, you will be part of the Environmental and Safety Department supporting operational safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and environmental stewardship, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Safety Specialist Location: Huntsville, AL Pay Range: $29.00/hour Shift: 1st Shift Monday - Friday What's the Job? Develop, implement, and maintain environmental and safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements Conduct regular environmental and safety audits to assess compliance and identify potential hazards Provide training and guidance to employees on environmental policies, safety practices, and regulatory compliance Manage hazardous materials and waste programs, including storage, disposal, and documentation Investigate workplace accidents or environmental incidents and implement corrective measures What's Needed? 0-2 years of experience in environmental health and safety management Knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) laws and regulations Ability to conduct risk assessments and enforce safety standards Strong interpersonal and communication skills for employee training and coaching Proficient in incident investigation and root cause analysis techniques What's in it for me?
