Mortgage Compliance Counsel

Supporting the company's compliance management program, the full-time remote Mortgage Compliance Counsel will provide legal analysis and guidance on federal and state regulatory requirements, ensuring adherence to compliance operations across departments. Key responsibilities Provide legal guidance on compliance risks and issues to support mortgage origination compliance and operations Assist with the development of solutions for regulatory findings and provide legal support for post-close suspense items Draft policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements Required qualifications Juris Doctorate (JD) from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mortgage lending compliance Knowledge of federal and state mortgage lending regulations, including Dodd Frank, QM/ATR, RESPA, and TILA Experience supporting compliance programs in the mortgage lending industry High level of integrity and ethical conduct
