Member Experience Intern

Portal has an opportunity at our Ocean State Lab location for a Member Experience Intern this summer. Gain hands-on experience supporting a growing innovation hub as we build momentum from our opening and deepen our presence in the Life Sciences ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone who has a knack for creating great experiences, enjoys fast paced learning, and wants to build skills across event coordination, hospitality, content creation, and day-to-day operations.

What You'll Do

Events & Hospitality

Gain experience in end-to-end event logistics from setup and guest check-in to breakdown

Learn how to create a welcoming, professional environment for members, guests, and event attendees

Support seamless on-site execution of events like lunch and learns, workshops, networking events, and community programming

Content & Social Media

Learn how to capture compelling photos and short videos that tell the story of our members and ecosystem

Collaborate with your on-site team and our National Marketing team to draft social media posts that reflect the energy and culture of our Ocean State location

Office Operations

Support front desk hospitality by greeting and badging in members and visitors

Help keep the kitchen, office supplies, and print/copy station stocked and organized

Support general administrative tasks and gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a collaborative workspace

Location: ONSITE - Providence, RI

Hours: Up to 30 hours during max a week

Dates: September - December 2026
