Software Engineer (Backend Focus)

Salary: $135,000 - 175,000 per year Requirements:

• We need 3+ years of API or backend development experience with Java or NodeJS.
• We value a strong grasp of modern engineering practices, including agile ways of working and CI/CD, with a deep emphasis on testability and code quality.
• We prefer proficiency in Java, or a strong command of another statically typed language for API or microservices development.
• We require a bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Bonus qualifications include experience with authentication, authorization, and security across APIs and single-page applications.
• Bonus qualifications include experience building production-grade single-page applications with TypeScript and React, or similar frameworks such as Vue, Angular, or Svelte.
• Bonus qualifications include experience working on an engineering team at a SaaS company.

• We work as part of a cross-functional team to ensure the enterprise-grade services and interfaces we build support product needs in identity, APIs, and billing.
• We collaborate closely with product, UX, and quality teams to deliver high-value features quickly and iteratively, with scalability, accuracy, and security in mind.
• We continuously improve how we work through each iteration as part of a collaborative application engineering team.
• We write robust tests to validate all functional requirements and carry out security audits.
