Overview Emergency Medicine Chair – Job ID: 1138788 Location: Newark, NJ RWJBarnabas Health and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center are seeking a clinical leader to serve as Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine. The Chair will practice within the department and oversee all clinical activities, provide leadership and support for academic training, create policies that improve quality and safety, and help grow the robust emergency medicine department. Responsibilities • Lead the Emergency Medicine Department at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. • Oversee all clinical activities and provide leadership for academic training programs. • Practice within the department, supervise residents, faculty, and staff. • Develop policies and programs that advance quality, safety, and patient experience. • Collaborate with other service lines within the RWJBarnabas Health System. Qualifications Strong clinical leader with experience driving improvements in quality and safety Commitment to academic excellence, including prior experience in resident education and clinical research At least 5 years of academic leadership experience Board certification in Emergency Medicine Eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong clinical background Preferred academic clinical background Compensation Anticipated salary range: $350,000 to $480,000 per year, dependent on education, skills and experience.
