This position offers a balanced mix of clinical practice and leadership within a progressive, physician-led health system located minutes from Charlotte.Position OverviewJoin a well-established group of 7 Pulmonologists and 7 Advanced Practice ProvidersInpatient and outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine practice1:7 call with a schedule of 1 week inpatient / 3 weeks outpatientAdvanced procedures: Navigational Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Zephyr Valve Placement, and Robotic-Assisted Bronchoscopy (coming soon)Hospital-attached Sleep Lab with strong APP supportCollaborative environment with Cardiothoracic Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, and Respiratory TherapyOpportunity to support Intensivist Program if desiredMedical Directorship ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical leadership and oversight for the Sleep Medicine Program and Sleep LabEnsure regulatory compliance (AASM, CMS, Joint Commission)Guide testing protocols, quality initiatives, and performance improvementParticipate in medical staff committees and interdisciplinary collaborationSupport program development, accreditation readiness, and provider educationUp to 12 administrative hours per monthQualificationsActive NC medical license (or eligibility)ABMS Board Certification in Sleep MedicineExperience in medical leadership preferredFamiliarity with AASM accreditation standards and quality improvement initiativesAbout CaroMont HealthIndependent, physician-led health system476-bed flagship hospital plus a new state-of-the-art facility in Belmont (opened 2025)Ranked #1 in the Charlotte Region and #3 in North Carolina by Business North CarolinaNamed one of the nation’s Top 100 Hospitals by IDM HealthLocationEnjoy a four-season climate with opportunities for outdoor recreation.
