Position Overview

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is currently seeking skilled and dependable Drywall Finishers to support commercial construction projects throughout the Indianapolis area. This position focuses on drywall finishing, taping, applying joint compound, patching and repairing drywall, and sanding surfaces to achieve a smooth, professional finish.

Drywall Finishers are responsible for preparing and finishing drywall surfaces by applying tape, joint compound, spackle, and other finishing materials to create smooth, professional surfaces.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare drywall panels by taping and finishing joints
• Fill seams, nail holes, and screw depressions with compound
• Apply paper tape and multiple coats of compound as needed
• Sand and smooth surfaces between coats for a professional finish
• Patch and repair damaged drywall
• Install and finish corner beads, L-beads, reveals, and drywall trim
• Use Ames or similar automatic finishing tools
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Load, unload, and organize construction materials
• Maintain a clean and safe job site
• Follow all job-site safety procedures
• Provide direction to helpers and laborers when needed

Qualifications

• Previous professional drywall finishing experience required
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of drywall finishing materials, compounds, and techniques
• Experience finishing joints, butt joints, beads, trim, and drywall repairs
• Experience using Ames or similar finishing tools
• Must have necessary hand tools, including pan, finishing knives, tape measure, tin snips, and sanding pole
• Must have necessary daily tools such as mixing drill, paddle, and staple gun
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to assigned job sites
• Strong attendance, punctuality, and attention to quality
