Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for a Neuro PCU RN Traveler!

Job Description:


- Schedule:
3x12-Hour Shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
Rotating weekends required
Float required as needed across all facilities


- Experience:
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Neuro PCU experience essential
Previous Charge RN experience preferred


- Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required


- Skills:
- BiPAP/CPAP management
- Central line care/management
- CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) management
- Dysrhythmia interpretation
- Isolation precautions/PPE
- Non-invasive airway management
- Peripheral line care/management
- PICC line management
- Telemetry monitoring
- Tracheostomy care/management
- TR Band and Yale Swallowing Screen
- Neuro stepdown management


- Unit Information:
- 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care department
- Patient demographics: Adults with neurological conditions
- Daily census: 30 patients
- Multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care: IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, etc.


- Patient Population:
- Stroke, transient ischemic attacks, seizure disorders
- Traumatic brain injuries, movement disorders
- Epilepsy monitoring and stable multiple trauma


- Additional Details:
- Must pass compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
- Third-party education verification required
- Active nursing license must be submitted with application
- No local candidates within a 50-mile radius


Guaranteed Hours: Contract length of 91 weeks.
