Samosa King

Job Description

Samosa King is an Indian restaurant in Tinley Park serving bold, authentic flavors in a refined dining setting. We’re looking for a friendly, polished server who loves good food and great hospitality to join our front-of-house team.

What you’ll do

Greet guests warmly and give attentive, professional table service from start to finish
Know our menu well: guide guests through dishes, spice levels, and pairings, and answer questions about ingredients and allergens
Take accurate orders and enter them into the POS system
Coordinate with the kitchen and support staff so food goes out hot and on time
Handle payments and close out checks accurately
Keep your section, side stations, and the dining room clean and well stocked
Help with opening and closing duties as needed
Take phone orders (if necessary)

What we’re looking for

1+ year of serving experience, ideally in a full-service restaurant (we’ll consider strong candidates willing to learn)
Friendly, confident communication and a guest-first attitude
Ability to stay calm and organized during busy shifts
Interest in Indian cuisine, or willingness to learn the menu in depth
Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand and walk for long shifts and carry trays up to 25 lbs
BASSET certification, or willingness to obtain it

What we offer

Staff meals and employee discount
Flexible scheduling
Paid training on our menu and service standards
A respectful, team-oriented workplace with room to grow
