Best Care provides care services to individuals who need assistance with daily activities and personal care. Employees are expected to provide quality care while supporting the dignity, safety, and comfort of the people they assist. Position Overview The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) provides support to individuals who need assistance with daily activities and personal care. Responsibilities may include assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, walking, and other everyday tasks. PCAs may also help maintain a safe and clean environment, provide companionship, and communicate with family members or supervisors about the individual's needs. The position requires patience, responsibility, good communication, and a commitment to treating clients with dignity and respect. This position is located in Staten Island, New York. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with eating, walking, and other daily activities.
- Help maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Provide companionship and support to clients.
- Communicate with family members or supervisors about client needs.
- Follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Treat clients and coworkers with dignity and respect.
- Attend required training and maintain punctual attendance.
- No previous work experience is required.
- Strong work ethic with a reliable and responsible approach to work.
- Good communication skills, patience, compassion, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work as part of a team and stay organized.
- Willingness to learn, assist others, and follow instructions.
- Genuine interest in and passion for providing quality care to clients.
- Complete open availability and willingness to work any shift.
- Must provide a state-issued ID, Social Security Card, proof of address, and two references.
- Must attend one week of mandatory unpaid training; attendance and punctuality are required.
