Position Summary As a Meat Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Meat and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. Responsibilities Be a Team Leader: Supervise the team within the meat department to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club by communicating departmental goals, executing company programs, adhering to policies, and advocating for the member, the associate, and the company. Work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the club meets member expectations. Be an Expert: Maintain an in‑depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product updates, and specifications. Ensure the department meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory production, equipment usage, safety, sanitation, and compliance. Share knowledge, prioritize training, and help the team understand item specifications and approved equipment for high‑volume products. Engage with members and share a passion for the product to help them make the right protein selection. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production training and product quality, adopt new tools, and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Drive business results ensuring commitment to operational excellence. Maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area, use digital tools for forecasting, planning, and production, facilitate product inventory and ordering, ensure appropriate staffing levels and accurate audit and compliance standards, and keep equipment and storage systems in working order. Be a Talent Ambassador: Teach and train the team by identifying training needs, providing necessary skills, encouraging career growth, and sourcing new talent internally and externally. Develop and implement processes and practices to meet business needs in collaboration with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners. Act with Integrity: Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Explain, guide, and demonstrate how to apply these in business processes. Use the Open Door Policy to assist management with ethical and compliance issues. Minimum Qualifications Six months experience in a meat production department or six months experience supervising a team. I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying requires me to successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if I receive the position. Must be 18 years of age or older. Preferred Qualifications Meat processing, including boneless and bone‑in products, supervising associates. Food Services - ServSafe Certification - Certification. Hourly wage range: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour may be paid based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
