QA Manager

Note: QA Manager is located/must work onsite & must interview onsite.

Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across a custom fabrication environment. This position will own the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ASME quality programs while serving as the primary quality leader for the organization. The role offers a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on involvement, working closely with engineering, manufacturing, customers, and regulatory bodies. The successful candidate will be responsible for audit management, QA/QC team leadership, compliance oversight, customer quality issues, and process improvement initiatives.

What's Needed

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive quality experience within metal fabrication, pressure vessels, piping, machining, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing QA/QC teams.
• Strong experience implementing, maintaining, and auditing ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience managing registrar audits, internal audits, corrective action programs, and compliance documentation.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies, including 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and CAPA processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a low-volume, high-mix custom manufacturing environment.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.

Required Experience

• ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System administration and audit leadership.
• QA/QC management experience within fabrication or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with ASME code compliance, inspections, and quality documentation.
• Internal and external audit coordination.
• Root cause analysis and corrective action management.

Preferred Experience:

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• Experience with National Board requirements and R-Stamp repair documentation.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Background in custom ASME code fabrication environments.
• Experience supporting energy, industrial gas, healthcare, cryogenic, or process equipment applications.
• Familiarity with pressure vessel manufacturing, welding inspections, and code compliance requirements.
