Research Scientist

Job Overview The Center for Economic and Social Research (CESR) is seeking a Research Scientist to join its Global Aging Program. This is a full‑time, grant‑funded, one‑year fixed‑term position with a hybrid work arrangement. The role involves leading research studies, coordinating teams, securing funding, publishing high‑impact research, and fostering collaborations within the Global Aging Program. Responsibilities Establish and maintain a research portfolio aligned with the Global Aging Program Organize and lead study teams Secure funding (grants; contracts) Publish in high‑impact journals Establish and maintain research collaborations related to the Global Aging Program Attend and organize research conferences and workshops Represent the Global Aging Program at meetings and conferences Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to staff and/or student workers as needed Complete other research and administrative tasks as assigned by the Global Aging Program leadership Qualifications Doctorate (PhD) in aging, health systems or policy, economics, epidemiology, or a related discipline Established publication record in relevant disciplines such as aging, health systems or policy, economics, or epidemiology 3+ years of relevant work experience (5+ years preferred) Experience with the international network of health and retirement studies (G2 Aging) or studies implementing the Harmonized Cognitive Assessment Protocol (HCAP) is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to publish in high‑impact journals and secure grant funding Strong collaborative and leadership skills, including experience leading research teams and mentoring students or staff Compensation The annual base salary range for this position is \$117,128 – \$150,000.
