An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Complex Commercial Litigation Attorney in Chicago, Illinois to join a highly regarded US litigation practice specializing in high-stakes plaintiffs’ matters.
This Complex Commercial Litigation Attorney in Chicago, Illinois role offers exposure to sophisticated, high-value disputes including class actions, mass torts, and government enforcement actions. The firm is recognized for its strength in complex litigation and its ability to handle business-critical, headline matters.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Complex Commercial Litigation Attorney in Chicago, Illinois seeking hands-on experience, meaningful responsibility, and the chance to work on cutting-edge contentious work within a high-performing team.
The Role:
- Advising on complex commercial litigation including class actions, mass torts, and enforcement matters
- Drafting and arguing motions across a range of high-stakes disputes
- Taking and defending depositions in sophisticated litigation matters
- Managing discovery processes and supporting overall case strategy
- Assisting with trial preparation and participating in trial proceedings
- Supporting negotiations and contributing to settlement strategy
- Working closely with senior attorneys on high-value, business-critical disputes
- Collaborating within a specialist litigation team on multi-faceted cases
The Candidate:
- Illinois admitted Commercial Litigation Attorney with 1–6 years’ experience
- Strong experience in complex plaintiffs’ litigation or high-stakes disputes
- Exposure to class actions, mass torts, or government enforcement work preferred
- Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build client relationships
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in Illinois
- Highly organised with strong time-management capabilities
- Able to work independently and within a collaborative team
