Yard Jockey CDL A

Position Summary This is a yard switching position moving 48ft tractor trailers and 28ft straight trucks throughout the yard and to docks using a yard horse. Overtime hours, working weekends and holidays, and starting at various start times are required in order to successfully meet the business needs. Shift & Schedule 1am-9am Every Saturday and Sunday Required Two days off in the middle of the week Job Type Full-Time Location Farmland Fresh Dairies, Newark Compensation & Benefits CDL A: $31.50/hr (1 year experience as a Yard Jockey or Switcher with the CDL A required) $7,000 sign-on bonus Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement Plan, Life Insurance Time off Package which includes Vacation, Sick and Holidays No touch freight or heavy lifting Requirements 21+ years of age Valid Class A Commercial Driver License with a clean MVR A minimum of 1 year’s experience working as a Yard Jockey or switcher with the CDL Possess and be able to present a valid non-expired interstate Medical Examiner's Certificate Card Pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check, Employment Verification) Must be able to pass a Clearing House Query Ability to work in all weather conditions Experience using a yard horse preferred but not required Must have the availability to work overtime hours and holidays Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
