Parts ManagerA client is seeking a full time Parts Manager for their busy office near Midland, TX. This position comes with a base salary and full benefits. This is a priority role for the client so we are looking to fill this position asap.Parts Manager Essential FunctionsManages inventory performance, accuracy, and obsolescence and develops strategies to improve service levelsMonitors daily sales at the branchEffectively manages inventory turns and slow-moving inventoryEffectively manages customer fill rates and customer relationsManages parts inventory to include purchasing and expeditingSupervises parts counter sales associates to include hiring and ongoing trainingOversees warehouse operations to ensure shipping and receiving operations are operating at optimum levelsPlans and attains short and long-term objectives in line with company goalsForecasts and plans processes and procedures to maximize department efficiencyProvides direction and leadership to staffCreates routine and ad hoc reports for management as neededParts Manager Minimum QualificationsAbout five (5) years of experience within the heavy equipment industry or similar experience in parts operations and parts salesBasic understanding of financial reportingSupervisory and management training preferredProduct knowledge, including features and benefits knowledgeSolid understanding of pricing principles and discounting effectsDemonstrated understanding of inventory controlWorking knowledge of warehouse storage layout principlesAbility to analyze and comprehend complex documents and make sound decisions
