Job Purpose:


The Seasonal Prep Cook is the backbone of the kitchen, ensuring ingredients are prepped and stations are set for smooth, high-quality service. This critical role supports the culinary team in delivering fresh, thoughtful cuisine to our guests, upholding Main Street Hospitality's standards of preparation, cleanliness, and teamwork.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Wash, chop, and prepare ingredients for daily service.

• Set up workstations and ensure all ingredients are ready.

• Follow recipes and portion guidelines for prep tasks.

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.

• Assist in stocking and organizing kitchen supplies.

• Support line cooks and chefs during busy service periods.

• Uphold Main Street Hospitality's culinary excellence.

• Perform any additional relevant tasks requested by management.

Education & Experience:

• Previous kitchen experience preferred.

• Understanding of basic food preparation and safety.

• Strong knife skills and attention to detail.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a productive pace without sacrificing quality.

• Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Able to thrive under pressure and in a fast-paced kitchen.

• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for extended periods.

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

• Must be able to work in hot and fast-paced kitchen environments.
