Emergency Department Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour rotating shifts including evening and night schedules.

Job Description

The Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse will deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, handling a diverse patient population including those with conditions like STEMI, stroke, trauma, and falls. You will be responsible for critical thinking, triage, and managing multiple cases rapidly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct triage assessments and prioritize patient care effectively.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians and respiratory therapists.
• Utilize advanced nursing skills with an emphasis on patient safety and comfort.
• Document patient care accurately in the Epic system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current California RN license.
• ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an emergency department.
• Previous travel assignments in a similar role are preferred.
• Strong background in emergency care with preferred certifications of CEN and TNCC.
