Where you'll be working
The community OT role is based within the New England Community Aged Care Services (NECACS) team and is part of the Tamworth Community Health team. You will be based on the hospital campus in Tamworth and provide a clinical service across the Tamworth region.


The Opportunity
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in your community by providing assessment, intervention, and rehabilitation services to adults aged 18 years and over in a community setting.

In this role, you will:
  • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to clients across the Tamworth region.
  • Support safe and effective discharge planning for patients from the Manilla and Barraba inpatient facilities.
  • Provide services to residential aged care facilities in Manilla and Barraba.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
You'll be joining a highly supportive team, with mentorship from an experienced Level 4 Occupational Therapist and collaboration with skilled Level 3 Occupational Therapists. About you

We are looking for a motivated Occupational Therapist who enjoys working autonomously, whilst being part of a larger allied health team, and who enjoys forming relationships with external service providers to ensure clear communication for referrals and client well-being. Previous experience in working in the community OT space, with preference for experience in home modifications and equipment prescription.


Requirements
  1. Occupational Therapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
  2. Eligible to drive in NSW with a current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence
