Position Accountable To: Director of Business Operations & Services

Position Type: Full-time, salaried (exempt)

Summary:

This role requires a detail-oriented supervisor who understands the importance of protecting critical aerospace hardware and maintaining the quality and traceability throughout the receiving and shipping process. Supervisor must be capable of mentoring and training staff. This fully onsite hands-on position plays a critical role in ensuring the high-quality expectation of incoming and outgoing customer product.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide day-to-day leadership, training, direction, and support/backfill to the shipping and receiving department.
• Receive, inspect, ensure traceability, and verify quality of incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Perform quality inspections on received parts and document any visual quality defects found as received. Hold and immediately elevate any quality findings.
• Document and report discrepancies, shortages, or damage to parts.
• Requires hands on strong attention to detail and quality awareness.
• Prepare outgoing shipments ensuring accurate packaging, labeling and shipment documentation.
• Elevate and coordinate with internal departments, and carriers to resolve any shipping issues.
• Identify area of continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and establish robust Receiving and shipping procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Must have US Person status for this position.
• 2-5 years’ experience in managing shipping and receiving in an aerospace environment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality awareness.
• Strong experience in the packaging methods of precision aerospace components.
• Ability to identify cosmetic and surface defects on machined metal parts.
• Strong computer skills (shipping software, email, MRP/ERP).
• A minimum of three years in a decision-making position related to the authority to define, execute, or control projects/processes and to be accountable for the outcome.
• Understanding of ITAR/FAR, AS9100, FAA and NADCAP standards.
• Knowledge of military specifications and aerospace specifications required.
• Written/verbal communication skills; computing skills (Windows, Microsoft Office).
• Good vision (correctable to 20/20).

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree preferred. In Lui of degree 2 - 5 years of experience managing cross functional teams.

Required Experience:

Min. 2-5 years in a shipping and receiving management role in an aerospace or heavily regulated industry.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to perform lifting functions up to 25 lbs.

  OPTIONAL SKILLS:

o Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
