Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Floor is needed for a unit focused on Medical-Surgical Oncology care. This position is located in Iowa City and offers day shift hours. The RN will provide acute oncology care, including chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and post-operative care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures. The start date is September 14, 2026, with the potential to contribute to a top-ranked cancer care environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, 1 year of relevant experience, located in or willing to work in Iowa City, Iowa
• Preferred Qualifications: Oncology certification or training, experience in Medical-Surgical Oncology units
• Float: Float rotation may not be required
• Additional Information: The unit is part of a nationally recognized cancer center, designated as a Magnet Hospital, and provides specialized oncology training and support for staff. The unit cares for adult medical-surgical oncology patients, including those receiving chemotherapy and complex post-operative care, and performs surgeries such as thyroidectomies, gastrectomies, and pancreaticoduodenectomies.
