Field Service Technician I - Greenville/Spartanburg, SC (Company Vehicle & 4-Day Workweeks!)

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to deliver high-quality customer service, perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of Hach devices at customer sites across municipal and industrial settings. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work. Promote a positive customer experience and serve as on‑site customer contact for technical and service‑related problems. Work in a wide variety of municipal and industrial settings, including drinking water & wastewater treatment facilities, refineries, chemical manufacturing plants, food & beverage processing facilities, etc. • Some applications may involve instrument servicing in NEC hazardous locations (Class I Division 2). Submit prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure. Follow safe work practices according to company policy. Execute administrative activities in support of service visits. Travel daily to customer sites. The role will be based in the Greater Greenville or Spartanburg, SC, area and support customers throughout the territory. Expect up to 75% travel. Company‑paid travel, accommodations, and meals are provided for overnight stays. One to two overnight stays per week can be expected. Qualifications Previous experience in a travel‑based field service and/or customer‑facing roles. HS diploma required; associate’s/technical degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience. Basic mechanical aptitude is a must – experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair is helpful but not required. Requires occasional rental of vehicles or booking of hotel rooms for business travel. A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to rent a car and/or hotel rooms under applicable state law are required. Benefits 10‑week comprehensive training period – 8 weeks in the field with a dedicated trainer and 2 weeks classroom‑based training in Loveland, CO. Three days off per week. After training, schedule consists of four shifts per week at 10‑hour days based on workload demand. Company car (maintenance/fuel paid for by us). Company cell phone.
