• Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,870 - $6,950
• Location: Gadsden, Alabama

• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 14 days
• Required Certification: BLS
• Board Status: Board certified or board eligible required
• Fellowship: Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship preferred

• Active physician license and eligibility to practice in the applicable state
• Minimum of 1 year of pulmonary medicine or critical care experience preferred
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine - Pulmonary Disease or Internal Medicine - Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine
• Completion of a pulmonary or critical care fellowship preferred
• BLS certification required
• Strong experience managing complex ICU patients
• Ability to perform or assist with critical care and pulmonary procedures as needed

• Provide pulmonary and critical care coverage for ICU patients
• Manage medical critical care cases including cardiac and respiratory arrest/failure, sepsis, metabolic disorders, renal failure, overdose/poisoning, and drowning
• Support surgical critical care patients, including pre- and post-operative general, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, and cardiothoracic cases
• Manage mechanical ventilation, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation strategies
• Perform chest tube insertion and other essential ICU procedures when required
• Provide diagnosis and treatment for acute pulmonary and critical care conditions
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality patient care
• Utilize preferred procedures such as bronchoscopy, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, thoracentesis, and diagnostic taps when clinically indicated
