Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Surfside Beach , SC

Work Schedule: This is a Per Diem/Casual position and hours will be as needed based upon business needs, not to exceed 19 hours per week

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program or 6 months' or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Must be 21 years' old

As a Float Phlebotomist, you will have the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience. You will be working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations. PST's may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
