Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel CT Technologist for an evening shift position in a hospital radiology department, requiring 3 years of experience and CT Registry certification.

Details

• Works in a hospital CT Scan department supporting inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patient areas
• Uses GE CT equipment
• Charts in Epic EMR
• 5x8 evening shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Works every weekend
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float per facility policy

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of CT Technologist experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty
• Active CT Registry required; license required if applicable
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment unless documented renewal is scheduled
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required — Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No gaps in employment of 90 or more days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic CT scans for interpretation by radiologists and performing physicians
• Assist radiologists with interventional and special CT procedures including biopsy, ablation, myelography, and arthrography
• Provide patient care essential to all procedures and apply principles of radiation safety
• Organize the daily schedule and serve as a dedicated resource to the CT team on shift
• Night shift orientation takes place on day shift; candidate must be available the full week for orientation
• Flu vaccination or a Mercy-approved exemption is required for assignments between November 1 and April 1 — declinations are not accepted
• Black scrubs required
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but are subject to a reduced bill rate
• Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts at this facility; after that, a minimum 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required
• This is a Level 2 Trauma Center and the only one in the South County area
• The facility is also a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 STEMI Center
