Job Title Principal IT Technologist – Salesforce for Medtronic, Inc., Northridge, CA. Application window closes 8 July 2026. Responsibilities Act as SME supporting Medtronic’s Clinical Salesforce platform. Develop, document, and configure system specifications that conform to architecture standards, address business requirements, and processes. Ensure hardware and software compliance and security standards are met. Coordinate design, development, configuration, implementation and support on Medtronic’s Salesforce.com platform. Oversee the full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Visualforce Pages, Apex classes, controllers, triggers and Lightning components. Create software packages using VersionOne and HPQC tools. Utilize programming languages including Apex, Java, HTML, JavaScript and SQL. Coordinate integration of enterprise applications with Salesforce.com using XML, REST and SOAP web services. Use IAM technologies such as CA SiteMinder and CA Identity Manager, and support SSO, federation and authentication technologies (SAML, WS‑Federation). Support Salesforce technical releases using change sets, Ant and Copado. Qualifications Master’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field, OR a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience in an IT technologist or business systems analyst role. Minimum five (5) years of experience with each of the following: Design, development, configuration, implementation and support on a Salesforce.com platform. Full SDLC and Visualforce, Apex, Lightning components. VersionOne and HPQC tools. Apex, Java, HTML, JavaScript and SQL. Integration of enterprise applications with Salesforce.com using XML, REST and SOAP. CA SiteMinder and CA Identity Manager. Single Sign-On, federation and authentication technologies (SAML, WS‑Federation). Supporting Salesforce technical releases via change sets, Ant and Copado. Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified Administrator. Salary USD $184,558 – $189,558 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, certifications and market conditions.
