Physical Therapy Assistant
Join our team as a Physical Therapy Assistant, where you'll provide essential care and support to patients of all ages in a dynamic outpatient setting.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide skilled treatment for functional mobility, motor function, and muscular strengthening
- Follow a plan of care with measurable functional goals considering patients' psychosocial and cultural needs
- Document services in compliance with APTA guidelines and billing standards
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers to promote independence upon discharge
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
- Participate in educational programs and quality improvement initiatives
What We Need To See
- Graduate of a nationally-accredited PTA program
- BLS certification required before employment begins
- Eligibility for current licensure with the New Mexico State Physical Therapy Board
- Preferred experience of greater than one year in outpatient physical therapy, but new graduates are welcome
