This position involves providing care for adult patients requiring complex oncology treatments, including chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and post-operative surgical care. Job Details Position Description: Medical-Surgical Oncology Unit, 4JPP, 44-bed adult medical-surgical oncology unit. Responsibilities include caring for medical patients requiring acute oncology care, such as chemotherapy, symptom management, and complex care, along with surgical patients recovering from laparoscopic and complex oncology-related surgeries including thyroidectomies, gastrectomies, adrenalectomies, splenectomies, liver resections, bowel resections, melanoma excisions, and pancreaticoduodenectomies (Whipple procedure). Certifications and Experience: BLS certification, minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical Nursing, with at least 0 years of additional experience required. Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor Work Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Start Date: 11/02/2026 End Date: 01/31/2027 Additional Information: This assignment involves providing expert care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that emphasizes oncology nursing and clinical proficiency. The unit offers oncology-based orientation, annual enrichment classes, and monthly educational inservices to promote ongoing learning and professional growth. Travelers participating in this role must commit at least through 1/31/2027 and start by 1/5/2027 or earlier. Holiday coverage is expected.
