St. Luke's Cataract & Laser Institute is seeking a full-time Surgical Scrub Technician to work out of our Tarpon Springs location. Surgical Scrub Technician experience is required.

About the Position St. Luke’s Surgical Center performs multi-subspecialty ophthalmic surgery. The surgical scrub technician’s role and responsibility is to provide necessary and appropriate equipment, instruments and supplies during ophthalmic surgery with the surgeon, nurses and staff. As an instrument technician, the role is to clean and sterilize instruments in accordance with AAMI standards.

Requirements:

Job Skill & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalency is required
• A minimum of one year of experience as a surgical scrub technician in an operating room is preferred.
• Experience in the cleaning and sterilization of instruments required
• Must be mobile in a surgery procedure; walking, sitting, standing, bending and stretching
• Perform general duties and other functions as required or assigned
