Job Description:Position SummaryThe Financial Coordinator I is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting functions for assigned senior housing communities while providing exceptional customer service to residents and supporting the overall financial operations of the community. This position performs accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, assists with month-end close, prepares account reconciliations, and supports financial reporting while developing a strong foundation in nonprofit and affordable housing accounting.A key responsibility of this role is serving as a primary financial resource for residents by responding to questions regarding account balances, payment activity, billing, and other financial matters with professionalism, empathy, and respect. The Financial Coordinator I is committed to delivering responsive, resident-focused service, helping to ensure residents receive timely assistance and a positive customer experience while maintaining accurate financial records.Primary ResponsibilitiesAccounts PayableReview invoices for proper codingProcess AP batchesResearch vendor inquiriesMonitor outstanding invoicesComplete the bi-weekly check runAccounts ReceivableReview tenant receivables and work with the Property Management team to collect outstanding rent paymentsAssist with subsidy receivable reconciliationsMonitor aging reportsRun monthly billingApply Rent payments using an ACH system and apply checksComplianceMaintain supporting documentationFollow internal controlsAssist with audit requestsCollaborationWork with Property ManagementRespond to routine accounting questionsParticipate in department meetingsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred0–3 years of accounting experienceStrong Excel skillsDetail-orientedAbility to prioritize multiple deadlinesExcellent communication skillsRemote Type:HybridSalary Range:$22.34 - $31.27 #J-18808-Ljbffr Hebrew-Seniorlife-5
