Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment. Monitor vehicle gauges during operation and maintain accurate mileage logs. Always follow all company policies and safety procedures. Adhere to applicable laws and dispatch instructions. Ensure product quality through proper handling procedures. Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; elevate major issues to supervisors. Keep vehicles clean and organized. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Complete other tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Must obtain a CDL B Permit from the local DMV. Work Requirements At least 18 years of age. Ability to obtain a valid CDL permit. Successful completion of DOT physical, drug screening, and criminal background check. Possession of a valid DOT medical card. Strict adherence to safety standards and company policies. Team player willing to assist co‑workers and supervisors as needed. Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy to colleagues and the public. Maintain a current driver’s license meeting state and company requirements (CDL, Class B). Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet company and DOT standards. Ability to work up to six days per week, including significant overtime (55-70 hours/week), per DOT ready mix exemption laws. Willingness to travel and work away from home as required. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and varying schedules. Commitment to training employees with a CDL Class B license, even if they lack driving experience. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by OSHA/MSHA, including face shield, safety shoes, and safety vest. Compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations. Knowledge & Skills The ability to learn and demonstrate operational skills with mixer trucks and related equipment. Basic reading, writing, and math skills for records and project documents. Operate equipment safely and efficiently in diverse conditions. Comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Work well independently and as part of a team, maintaining attention to detail. Operate heavy, complex equipment with skill and independent judgment. Familiarity with securing heavy equipment and oversized loads. Professional interaction with customers, including payment collection and issue resolution. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility. Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height. Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed. Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions. Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments. Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.
