Emergency Room Nurse

Provide expert emergency care to patients in a fast-paced ER setting. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and efficient treatment while adhering to hospital protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient conditions upon arrival to determine urgent care needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with scope of practice.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and respond quickly to changes in condition.
• Comply with all hospital policies, including dress code, hygiene, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Texas RN license; temporary licenses are not accepted.
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency department nursing experience.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC; TNCC and NIHSS preferred.
• Proficient with Meditech or similar documentation systems.
• Demonstrate excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work 7P-7A shifts variable, every other weekend.
