Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in the operating room. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and support throughout surgical procedures while adhering to clinical standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare patients and ensure all equipment and supplies are ready.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes during procedures.
• Administer anesthesia and assist with sterile techniques as needed.
• Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Respond promptly to on-call emergencies and assist during unexpected situations.
• Maintain compliance with BLS and ACLS certifications and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current licensure.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is also mandatory.
• Proven experience working in surgical or perioperative settings.
• Ability to work varied schedules, including overnight shifts.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.
