In this leadership role, you'll oversee projects from pursuit through completion, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and project teams while leading multidisciplinary engineering efforts.You'll work closely with clients, engineers, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule and within budget. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced project manager who thrives on ownership, leadership, and building lasting client relationships.What You'll DoCoordinate, oversee, and manage civil engineering and land development projects of varying size and complexity while serving as the primary point of contact for clients and project teams.Collaborate with business development staff, Project Executives, Client Executives, and Market Directors/Leaders during project pursuits and opportunity development.Assist with scope development, fee calculations, proposal preparation, and contract reviews.Develop project schedules, milestones, and deadlines to ensure successful execution.Manage project financial performance, including monthly billings, forecasting, and completion percentage reporting.Coordinate project staffing and scheduling throughout design and construction phases.Ensure compliance with owner requirements, quality control procedures, and applicable codes.Lead project status meetings, prepare project documentation, and communicate progress to stakeholders.Lead project interviews and client presentations.Train, mentor, and motivate project team members.Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term client relationships.Respond to client and construction-related concerns while managing change orders and approvals.What We Offer100% employee ownership.Flexible schedules and support for work-life balance.Professional development and career advancement opportunities.Tuition reimbursement assistance.Opportunities for community involvement and leadership.Exposure to impactful projects and diverse clients.Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits starting on your first day.Generous paid time off (PTO).What You'll BringRequired Skills & AbilitiesAbility to make decisions, solve problems, and think analytically.Excellent organization, multi-tasking, and critical task scheduling skills.Active listening and superior communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to provide clear direction, motivation, and support.Ability to identify potential risks and proactively mitigate project impacts.Ability to react quickly and positively in all communications.Competency in managing large projects and/or a significant volume of small to medium projects for key clients annually.Demonstrated financial success on projects managed.Knowledge and understanding of engineering disciplines, design, and technical aspects.Experience managing projects where the engineering firm serves as the prime consultant, including hiring and managing subconsultants and executing subconsultant contracts.Experience managing projects involving multiple office locations, multidisciplinary teams, and engineering disciplines.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Ability to travel up to 25% for client project success and internal project team engagement.Education & ExperienceBachelor of Science (BS) degree, or higher, in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a similar related field preferred.Minimum 8 years required, 10 years preferred, of project management, construction management, or related experience.Minimum of 3 years of project management experience within an engineering consulting, architecture, construction management, or related professional services environment required.Completion of a formal project management training program or other recognized industry-standard project management training preferred.Ready to Take the Next Step?Join a company where employee ownership, collaboration, and professional growth are part of the culture. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
