L1 Support Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking Level 1 Support Technicians to support a computer and docking station refresh project. The technician will provide hands-on technical support including computer imaging, hardware replacement, data migration, troubleshooting, and end-user support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Image and configure computers according to established procedures.
• Replace computers, docking stations, and related equipment.
• Perform data migration from existing computers to replacement systems.
• Install, configure, maintain, test, and upgrade computer hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and software issues.
• Provide Level 1 technical support for hardware and application problems.
• Respond to user technical issues and provide excellent customer service.
• Document service activities, troubleshooting steps, and hardware changes.
• Assist with testing and deployment of new and existing hardware and software.
• Maintain required security controls for hardware and software.
• Work closely with technical staff, subject matter experts, and project management.
• Manage multiple tasks, prioritize assignments, and meet project deadlines.
• Lift and relocate computer equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in IT support, desktop support, help desk, or technical support.
• Experience troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Experience installing, maintaining, moving, and upgrading hardware and software.
• Knowledge of personal computers, printers, peripherals, and computer components.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and WordPerfect.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Windows 11 technical support experience.
• Experience with computer imaging and device refresh projects.
• Experience with data migration.
