Electrical Quality Inspector

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Quality Inspector for a leading precision manufacturing and engineering client in Fairfield, OH. This individual will ensure electrical assemblies, control panels, wiring systems, and test activities meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards before shipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, experience reading schematics and wiring diagrams, and the ability to perform inspections, testing, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment. This role serves as a key quality checkpoint between production and delivery, helping ensure customers receive reliable, high-quality products that meet all technical and contractual requirements.

Day-to-Day:
• Perform incoming, in-process, final, and test inspections of electrical assemblies and control panels
• Review schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and engineering documentation
• Conduct electrical testing and troubleshoot quality-related issues
• Verify products meet customer requirements and quality standards
• Document inspection results, nonconformances, and corrective actions
• Review FAI packages, certifications, and test records for compliance
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve quality concerns and improve processes

Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years of electrical inspection, testing, or electrical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working within AS9100 and/or ISO 9001-certified environments
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
• Experience using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, clamp meters, Meggers, etc.)
• Knowledge of electrical systems, controls, wiring, and quality inspection processes
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills


Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with PLCs, control panels, motors, VFDs, and power distribution systems
• First Article Inspection (FAI) experience
• Aerospace, defense, industrial automation, or power generation experience
• Experience reviewing test records, certifications, and quality documentation
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards and compliance requirements
