The ideal candidate will create a structured and engaging learning environment that builds on the foundational skills developed in kindergarten while supporting students’ academic confidence and curiosity.AMS teachers are collaborative professionals who believe that all scholars can achieve at high levels through structured instruction, strong classroom culture, and data-driven decision-making.**Key Responsibilities****Instruction & Student Achievement*** Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction aligned with AMS curriculum and Arizona academic standards.* Strengthen foundational skills in reading fluency, phonics, writing, and early mathematics.* Use formative and summative assessments to guide instructional planning.* Differentiate instruction to support students at varying skill levels.* Foster independent learning habits and critical thinking skills.**Classroom Culture & Student Development*** Maintain a structured and positive classroom environment with clear expectations.* Implement PBIS and proactive classroom management strategies.* Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.**Collaboration & Professional Growth*** Participate in weekly professional development and PLCs.* Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to strengthen instruction.* Contribute to school-wide improvement initiatives.**Family Engagement*** Communicate regularly with families about student progress.* Conduct parent-teacher conferences and maintain strong home–school partnerships.**Minimum Qualifications**Candidates must meet **one of the following requirements**:* **Bachelor’s degree in Education or Elementary Education** OR* **Valid Arizona teaching certification** in Elementary Education OR* **Minimum of three (3) years of K–12 teaching experience**Additionally, candidates must:* Demonstrate strong classroom management and instructional planning skills* Obtain an **IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card*** Demonstrate a commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities* Exhibit collaboration, professionalism, and initiativeJoin us to enjoy rewarding challenges and ongoing opportunities!### About UsAMS Schools are among the highest performing Title I schools in Arizona.
