FOH Shift Manager - Memorial

Shift Leader – Memorial Dish Society is hiring a Shift Leader for our Memorial location in Houston, TX. This Full‑Time position requires open availability across AM, PM, weekends, and holidays. Base Pay $20.00/hr – $24.00/hr, plus participation in the front‑of‑house tip pool. Location Dish Society – Memorial, Houston, TX Key Responsibilities Take orders, run food, make drinks, or assist guests as needed. Manage shift flow and communication between front‑of‑house (FOH) and back‑of‑house (BOH); monitor ticket times, guest experience, and team positioning. Support team members during peak periods with on‑the‑spot coaching and positive leadership. Open or close the restaurant following established checklists and procedures. Lead by example in cleanliness, hospitality, and work ethic. Handle minor guest recovery situations and elevate larger issues when necessary. Uphold and model Dish Society’s values of hospitality, pride, growth, and connectedness. Qualifications Natural leader—calm under pressure and confident in communication. Reliable and organized, showing up ready to work, lead, and support the team. Minimum 18 years old with prior restaurant or hospitality experience. Passionate about service and genuinely enjoys connecting with guests and teammates. Comfortable working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; understands that the busiest times are when others are off. Schedule & Availability The role is typically scheduled for 40–45 hours per week, with flexibility to adjust based on business needs. Open availability is strongly preferred, including a mix of AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays. Compensation Shift Leads earn hourly wages as listed above and participate in the FOH tip pool.
