Senior PHP Developer

TIAG is now hiring a Senior PHP Developer to join our team and play a key role in building, scaling, and maintaining high-quality web applications. You’ll work closely with product, design, and engineering teammates to deliver reliable, well-architected solutions and help set technical standards across the team.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on development, mentoring others, and influencing technical direction without being fully removed from the code. This role will require a government security clearance to be processed, US or Naturalized Citizenship is a requirement for consideration. 100% Remote (US-based), with a strong preference for candidates in the Pacific Time Zone to align with team hours.Job ResponsibilitiesArchitect full-stack solutions across font end, database, mobileDesign, develop, and maintain scalable PHP applications and APIsWrite clean, well-tested, and maintainable code following best practicesCollaborate with Product and Design to translate business requirements into technical solutionsLead code reviews and help establish engineering standardsOptimize application performance, security, and scalabilityTroubleshoot complex technical issues and drive root-cause resolutionMentor junior and mid-level developersContribute to architecture decisions and long-term technical roadmap8+ years of professional experience with PHP developmentStrong experience with modern PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, or similar)Solid understanding of object-oriented design and design patternsExperience building and consuming RESTful APIsStrong knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)Experience with version control (Git) and interactive rebaseExperience with CI/CD pipelinesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical partnersExperience working with a remote teamTIAG is an equal opportunity employer and federal contractor or subcontractor.
