Manager, Process Utilities

Manager responsible for safe, compliant, and efficient operation of process utility systems supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing. Provides leadership and technical oversight for utility personnel, ensures regulatory compliance, maintains system reliability, and partners with cross-functional teams to support production operations.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and technical oversight for process and clean utility systems supporting manufacturing operations
Ensure utilities operate in validated, qualified state compliant with GMP and regulatory requirements
Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize system reliability and availability
Lead investigations of utility excursions, equipment failures, and deviations; conduct root cause analysis and CAPA development
Manage utility-related projects, budgets, capital expenditures, spare parts, and external vendor relationships

Requirements

Leadership experience managing technical operations teams and licensed utility operators
Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical process utilities: purified water, WFI, clean steam, compressed air, process gases
Proficiency in GMP requirements, validation, qualification, and regulatory compliance frameworks
Experience with root cause analysis, deviation management, CAPA processes, and change control
Technical competency in preventive maintenance, predictive monitoring, and system reliability optimization
Project management and budget accountability for capital expenditures and operating expenses
