Groundskeeper

GroundskeeperThe Groundskeeper will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment.To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas such as sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other grounds featuresMake minor repairs to items such as fences, gates, or wallsGather, remove, and dispose of trash or waste materialsWater and irrigate lawns, trees, or plants using portable sprinkler systemsUse irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent wastePrune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using grounds maintenance equipmentMow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgerPlant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening toolsRake, mulch, and compost leavesOperate and perform minor repairs on grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning sawsComply with safety rules, policies and procedures including use of personal protective equipment. Stops at risk behaviors of others and selfRespond to trouble calls and cleans up spillsCommunicate with co-workers, management, and customers and advises on plant selection or careProvide information about landscaping services or costsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
