Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ER experience, EPIC EMR proficiency, and multiple specialty certifications.

Details

• Emergency Department setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 1900-0730
• Weekend coverage required, typically every other weekend but subject to change based on need
• Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on census needs
• Uses EPIC for documentation and Omnicell for medication dispensing
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required
• At least 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI/MAB, TNCC
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care to a variety of patient acuities and presentations
• Orientation held every Monday, with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible for full travel pay rate; reduced rate applies at 90-99.9 miles
• Night shift applicants for select specialties may qualify at 50+ miles from the contracted campus, with reduced pay rate applying between 50-99.9 miles
